Layne has 25 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Layne began his career at Bristol Myers in drug metabolism supporting IND and NDA submissions. He moved to Merck's preclinical development in 1984 until 1994. He developed a new Bioanalytical Lab based on a GC/MS program at AAI. Layne became the Vice President of Business Development for Huntington Drug Development operations in the US. In 2000 Layne started Apex Analytical, a contract sales organization. Layne and Gary founded NextGen Pharma Technologies, Inc. in 2001 through a joint venture of Apex and PDR. Layne received his BS from Cornell University and his PhD from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science
Gary has over 30 years of experience in Pharmaceutical Development. Gary started with Abbott Laboratories in 1968. He left Abbott in 1971 to start Analytical Development Corporation, a contract bioanalytical/drug metabolism laboratory. In 1997 he started PHARM Development Resources, Inc.
